Shannon Ewing, DVM
Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Shannon Ewing, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and College of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing her DVM, she completed a Small Animal Internship focusing on Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology at Purdue University. She then spent another 6 months rotating through Internal Medicine and Oncology at Kansas State’s College of Veterinary Medicine before relocating to the Atlanta area. After working in the Atlanta area for 5 years, she opened Collier Animal Hospital fulfilling her dream of owning her own business. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, Gator football and spending time with her kids, cat Twinx and Pitbull Meatball.

Katie Borden, DVM

Dr. Katie Borden is a 2019 graduate of UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Tallahassee, FL, Dr. Borden moved to Atlanta, GA in 2013 to pursue a Master of Public Health degree at Emory University. After completing her MPH, Dr. Borden attended University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She is thrilled to be back in Atlanta, working in small animal general practice. She is most interested in preventive medicine, surgery, and infectious diseases. Dr. Borden enjoys spending time with her husband, Pete, and her rescue dog Kira.. In her free time Dr. Borden enjoys cooking, going for long walks with her dog, and playing board games with friends.

Harshila Ballal, DVM

Dr. Harshila Ballal is originally from Tampa, FL. She received her B.S. in Biology from Emory University in 2013, and she then received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2017. Her interests include preventative health, neurology, and cardiology. She is also always interested in learning more about exotics and wildlife. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her energetic terrier-mix, Yogi, playing tennis, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Ballal is excited to be back in Atlanta to provide high-quality care for her patients!

Scarlett Fox
Practice Manager

Scarlett joined the Collier Animal Hospital team in November of 2017. Formerly a linguist in the US Air Force, she’s been enjoying a change of pace by working in the veterinary field and loves helping companion animals and their parents. She lives in Southwest Atlanta with her husband, dogs Leaf and Nala, and cat Arya. She has a passion for vegan food, travel, and the arts!


Erreannau (pronounced heir-rihanna) joined Collier Animal Hospital November 2020. She has been working in the animal field since she was 13 where she opened her own pet-sitting service. Erreannau received her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2014 and started working with the Guide Dog Foundation of America in 2019. Her goal is to help build people-to-animal connections worldwide! Erreannau loves all things outdoors, trying new food, and exploring the world!


Gillian joined the Collier team in May 2021 and has been working in the veterinary field for the past 2 years.  She is a Georgia native and has a bachelors in Theatre from the University of West Georgia. She was the Resident Stage Manager for the Center for Puppetry Arts for almost a decade.  When she’s not at work, she enjoys traveling the world, cheering for Atlanta United (We Ready!) and snuggling her two spoiled cats, Rory and Lionel Messi.

Veterinary Technician

Demetrius is a 2011 graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelors in Animal, Poultry, and Veterinary Sciences. Demetrius joined the Collier Family in April of 2021 and has been working in veterinary medicine since 2008. He enjoys pet sitting, listening to music, and spending time with his Fur Baby and Son on off days.

Halle Campbell
Veterinary Technician

Hallie has always been an animal lover ever since she was a child. Her family knew she'd have a career working with animals in some way. Well she did just that! Hallie has been in veterinary medicine since 2010 and has enjoyed every moment of it! She joined the Collier AH team in 2015. Hallie enjoys hiking, traveling, pet sitting, spending time with family, reading books, comics, and graphic novels, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football in her spare time. Roll Tide!! Hallie resides in Buckhead with her five chihuahuas, Tink, Tank, Jack, Jemma, and Bruce Wayne along with her cat, Moose.

Ivy Chang
Veterinary Technician

Ivy has been working at Collier Animal Hospital since August 2019. She has a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She has aspirations to become a veterinarian and will eventually practice in the future. Ivy also enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her family and friends during her off time.

Jackie Delaney
Veterinary Technician

Jackie joined the Collier Family in June 2020 after moving from Florida. Jackie has always adored animals, especially dogs, and cows. She has been working in veterinary medicine since 2015. Jackie is also a volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society in Atlanta which she is passionate about giving a second chance. Jackie enjoys hiking and exploring new places with her dog and fiance, spending time with family, and watching the tv show "The Office".

Veterinary Technician

Katya is currently living in the heart of Atlanta while enjoying the city life with her lab (Laika). Katya is an immigrant from Kharkiv, Ukraine and enjoys trying international food.  She enjoys distance running and cycling with Laika around Atlanta. She is currently enrolled into GSU seeking out a major in Criminal Justice. Katya has been in veterinary medicine for the last 3 years and enjoys constantly learning more about the veterinary field and expanding her skills as a veterinary technician.

Veterinary Technician

Matthew recently came on the Collier team in February and has graduated from Berry College in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He has spent the past 10 years working as a veterinary assistant and has extensive history working with exotic animals.While much of his professional life has been spent with exotics, Matthew also loves dogs and cats. He also has two dogs of his own--Ridley and Rugby. In his spare time, Matthew loves to play competitive video games, reading about anything nerdy, and spending quality time with his friends.
