Shannon Ewing, DVM
Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Shannon Ewing, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and College of Veterinary Medicine. After finishing her DVM, she completed a Small Animal Internship focusing on Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology at Purdue University. She then spent another 6 months rotating through Internal Medicine and Oncology at Kansas State’s College of Veterinary Medicine before relocating to the Atlanta area. After working in the Atlanta area for 5 years, she opened Collier Animal Hospital fulfilling her dream of owning her own business. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, Gator football and spending time with her kids, cat Twinx and Pitbull Meatball.

Harshila Ballal, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Harshila Ballal is originally from Tampa, FL. She received her B.S. in Biology from Emory University in 2013, and she then received her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2017. Her interests include preventative health, neurology, and cardiology. She is also always interested in learning more about exotics and wildlife. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her energetic terrier-mix, Yogi, playing tennis, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Ballal is excited to be back in Atlanta to provide high-quality care for her patients!

Carrie Smith, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Carrie Smith is a 2007 graduate of the University Of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine. During her time in veterinary school, she also worked towards a Master’s Degree in pathology. She is most interested in ophthalmology, neurology, and dentistry. Since graduation, Dr. Smith has been involved in a collaborative program between Central Georgia Tech and The Guide Dog Foundation as a veterinary assistant instructor to inmate students that are also charged with raising Guide Dogs. In her spare time Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her children, and her pets as well as playing tennis, hiking and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Randi Schroedel, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Randi Schroedel was born and raised in Georgia and has moved all over the state. She graduated from Pope High School in 2014 and moved to Savannah Georgia where she attended Armstrong State University and played for the women's soccer team. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since 4th grade and was ecstatic for the opportunity to obtain shadowing hours while in Savannah at a practice called Allison Animal Care. After graduating from Armstrong in 2018, she was fortunate enough to get into veterinary school at the University of Georgia. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is being in an environment where she is constantly learning from everyone around her (colleagues, clients and patients) while getting to help people by helping their pets. When she is not at work, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and game nights with family and friends. She has two cats of her own named Dwight (orange tabby) and Dwayne (tuxedo) who keep her on her toes and hopes to one day adopt a rescue dog when she has a yard to accommodate one.

Scarlett Fox
Practice Manager
Scarlett joined Collier Animal Hospital in November of 2017. Her favorite part of being in the veterinary field is working with pet parents and supporting her team. She lives in Southwest Atlanta with her husband and their dogs and cats. She loves mushroom hunting, gardening, reading, and traveling (especially in Mexico!).
Erreannau
CSR

Erreannau (pronounced heir-rihanna) joined Collier Animal Hospital November 2020. She has been working in the animal field since she was 13 where she opened her own pet-sitting service. Erreannau received her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2014 and started working with the Guide Dog Foundation of America in 2019. Her goal is to help build people-to-animal connections worldwide! Erreannau loves all things outdoors, trying new food, and exploring the world!

Gillian
CSR
Gillian joined the Collier family in May 2021 and has been working in the veterinary field for the past 2 years. She is a Georgia native and has a bachelors in Theater from the University of West Georgia. She was the Resident Stage Manager for the Center for Puppetry Arts for almost a decade. When she’s not at work, she enjoys traveling the world, cheering for Atlanta United (We Ready!) and snuggling her two spoiled cats, Rory and Lionel Messi.
Ivy Chang
Veterinary Technician

Ivy has been working at Collier Animal Hospital since August 2019. She has a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She has aspirations to become a veterinarian and will eventually practice in the future. Ivy also enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her family and friends during her off time.

Jackie Delaney
Veterinary Technician
Jackie joined the Collier Family in June 2020 after moving from Florida. Jackie has always adored animals, especially dogs and cows. She has been working in veterinary medicine since 2015 and especially likes building relationships with clients and their pets. Jackie enjoys working out, being with her family, and spending time with her fiance Dan and their two dogs Oscar and Tyson.
Matthew
Veterinary Technician
Matthew came to the Collier family in February 2021 and graduated from Berry College in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He has spent the past 10 years working as a veterinary assistant and has extensive history working with exotic animals. While much of his professional life has been spent with exotics, Matthew also loves dogs and cats. He also has two dogs of his own--Ridley and Rugby. In his spare time, Matthew loves to play competitive video games, reading about anything nerdy, and spending quality time with his friends.
Molly
Veterinary Assistant
Molly joined the Collier family in August of 2021. After graduating from Auburn University (war eagle!) with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2019, Molly worked briefly in the zookeeping world before moving to veterinary medicine. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Trey and senior pup Shea. She enjoys baking, reading, and cheering on Auburn in all college sports!

Veterinary Assistant
Blair joined the Collier family in June of 2021. After graduating from Berry College in 2020 with an Animal Science major and a minor in Chemistry, she decided Georgia was for her and relocated from coastal North Carolina. Blair has worked with animals since starting high school in 2012, and especially loves caring for cats and fish. She lives just outside the city with her four cats; Moana, Astrid, Oreo, and VooDoo. In her spare time she enjoys crafting, cooking, and roller skating.

Megan joined the Collier Family in June of 2022. She fell in love with veterinary work in 2015 when she began working at a high-volume rescue clinic. It was there that she found her Rottweiler, Meatloaf. She now splits her time working both with us, and at The Iberian Pig where she works with her husband, Michael.
