International Health Certificates in Atlanta, GA
For Existing Clients Only
Planning international travel with your pet? We’re here to help—but please note that we only provide health certificates for current Collier Animal Hospital patients.
International travel requires strict compliance with destination-specific health requirements. These rules vary widely and can change frequently. That’s why we partner exclusively with Pawsitive Pet Health Certificates (PPHC) to ensure a smooth and compliant process.
How to Get Started
Step 1: Contact PPHC
Before we can begin the health certificate process, you must first contact Pawsitive Pet Health Certificates. They will:
- Confirm your destination’s requirements
- Create a custom timeline based on your travel dates
- Coordinate with our team and the USDA to prepare the necessary documents
- Invoice you separately for their part of the International Pet Health Certificate process. PPHC charges do not include veterinary services.
PPHC is our required partner for all international certificates. We cannot proceed without their involvement.
Step 2: Schedule Your Pet’s Exam
Once PPHC has mapped out your pet’s timeline, they’ll let you know when to book an appointment with us. During this visit, we’ll:
- Perform your pet’s physical exam
- Administer any required vaccines, treatments, or microchip placement
- Collect lab samples (if needed)
- Ensure all requirements are completed on schedule

Step 3: Follow the Timeline
We’ll work in tandem with PPHC to ensure your pet’s care is completed within the required windows for travel. Timing is critical—some destinations require tests or treatments months in advance.
Step 4: Final USDA Endorsement
PPHC handles the paperwork and USDA coordination. Once the certificate is endorsed, you’ll be ready for takeoff.
Start Early
We recommend starting the process at least 6–8 weeks in advance, and earlier for destinations with strict requirements. Contacting PPHC early gives your pet the best chance of a stress-free travel experience.
Important Reminders
- We do not provide international health certificates to non-clients
- We do not issue international certificates without PPHC coordination—no exceptions.
- Bullying of the front desk staff will not be tolerated.
